Idea sketches

Idea sketches for my crochet work

The other day, while flipping through my Moleskine notebook, I saw these simple idea drawings, which brought back many memories.

When I first moved to the United States, I crocheted to deal with my anxiety. Being new to an environment and not knowing when to speak up put me in a bad and unhealthy situation.

To this day, I am still haunted by those horrifying experiences, especially watching the Baby Reindeer recently.

When people say time heals, no, it doesn't. Pain and experiences may take a backseat or be boxed up and put away somewhere, but they are there.

To keep my sanity, I crocheted daily and stored up boxes of yarn. If you are experiencing challenges in life, find things to keep yourself busy and do things that soothe your mind.

Here are some idea sketches I did with some Micron pens in my Moleskine notebook. It has been interesting looking through older work and documenting these.
