Plant shopping at Lowe's Home Improvement Store

The thing about being a plant lover is, I can always find spots for new plants. By the window, on the shelf, or hang them on the wall. Although I love my local nurseries like The Great Outdoors and Tillery Street Plant Company, I also shop at big box stores like Home Depot, Walmart, and Lowes.

Walmart is a little far from where I live. The Walmart I went to didn't have exciting selections, but the price on the cactus and succulents was excellent. The option at the Home Depot I went was slightly better. They had some great hanging plants, and the price on larger houseplants was very reasonable. Lowe's Home Improvement store is closer to my place, and they tend to have more unique houseplants compared to the other two. Earlier in the summer, they were slower in bringing in new houseplants, but now they are upping their houseplant game again since Fall is approaching!

Friday afternoon, what's better than plant shopping, right? After my lunch at Pho Thaison restaurant, I decided to swing by Lowe's to see if they had anything new. They had a large shipment on the last weekend, and everyone got excited on the houseplant Facebook group. It seemed most of the unique houseplants had been bought out.

Regardless, they still had some fresh looking plants, and I picked up a Peperomia Isabella. It was very similar to the Pilea Glauca I got yesterday, except the stems are green instead of red. We will have to see which one does better under my care! I am hoping both thrive, and I will also start propagating them just in case!
