Visiting Brandywine Battlefield

Although life has been busy, I try to get out more, especially with the slightly cooler weather in Pennsylvania. Compared to over 100 degrees in Texas, it is often around 80 degrees and rarely breaks 90 degrees. In addition to the weather, I don't want my cameras to sit in my drawer simply, and it is in my nature to want to create and capture what I see. I miss going out shooting with my friends like when I used to be in Austin.

Last week, I decided to visit Brandywine Battlefield in Pennsylvania. Besides capturing some old artifacts, I also got to learn a little more about the area's history. For example, the battle of Brandywine was the largest engagement between the British and the Continental Army in a single day!

During my visit, I got to photograph The Benjamin Ring House, Washington's headquarters, and the Gideon Gilpin Home. The inside of the Benjamin Ring House was reconstructed based on historians' research and imagination.

Most of the scenes you see in this post are lit by natural light. However, I love how my Leica Q2 handled the low-light situation and delivered satisfying results!
