Memories from old photos
Self-quarantined? Social distancing? Whatever you call it, we are staying home, keeping a distance from each other, and hoping for the best.
At this trying time, people are losing their jobs, their retirement fund due to the stock market crash. As a portrait and travel photographer, I can't do any photoshoots or travel anywhere. Sometimes I struggled feeling stuck, and also worried about my income. I often believe myself as a survivor, so I am going to do everything I can to survive this or even let my creativity thrives from it.
I have been taking pictures for years now. Most of the time, those photos just sitting in my backup drives, a few barely made it to my Instagram feed. Today, I like to share a few pictures I took on a film camera back in 2008 when I was visiting San Francisco. It has been 12 years since I shot these. I can't even remember what camera I was using. The quality of the scan was quite low, but I still appreciate the aesthetic of pictures that came straight out of a film camera. These images brought back good memories, and now I am ready to take a deep dive into thousands of old photos to see what gems I can discover.
