A Trip to New York City

IMG_0643.jpg

Last Friday, I traveled to New York City to celebrate my birthday and to do a few photoshoots. Even though it was freezing in NY, I thought it was the best time to visit. Right after holiday seasons and with the cold winter weather, it means fewer tourists and places are less crowded as well. In addition to that, hotel rates in Manhattan are much more affordable compared to summertime.

Other than hanging out with friends, I also got to do some touristy stuff like visiting Katz's Delicatessen, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Artechouse, Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace National Historic Site, and saw a Broadway musical, "Ain't Too Proud." In between my visits to places and meeting friends, I also stopped by a few great coffee shops in New York to fulfill my caffeine needs.

Here are some snapshots from my iPhone 11 Pro. Unfortunately, my iPhone 11 Pro still crashed like once a day, and I have to force restart to be able to continue to use it.

Katz's Delicatessen

I had been to NYC many times, but that was my first time visiting Katz's Delicatessen. The food was as good as what its reputation carries, and it was a great touristy experience.

Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace National Historic Site

History hasn't been high on my list, but visiting Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace was educational, and it was interesting to learn about the lifestyle in that period.

Artechouse

I visited Artechouse with my friend, and we were impressed by the fascinating art show. The visual was intriguing, and it messes with your perception of what you really see.

Brooklyn Botanic Garden

Although the tropical plant collection wasn't as impressive as what they have at New York Botanical Gardens, I loved the Japanese Garden! It was serene and beautiful, and it reminded all the good times I had when I visited Japan.
