Yes, I am on Nintendo Switch Animal Crossing
Doubt that anyone would notice, I have been absent online on social media. The reason for that was, I started playing Animal Crossing like everyone else!
Getting a Nintendo Switch during locked down was not an easy task. It was sold out everywhere, and people are buying it and flipping it on Facebook Marketplace and eBay. The price went up from $300 to $600 easily. I was lucky enough to find one that was not too overpriced from Facebook Marketplace. If you don't want to wait or pay a higher price, your best bet is probably checking online at websites like Bestbuy, Target, and Walmart. When I was on the mission of hunting down my Switch, I found Target was my best chance, and it was easier to use. After searching for the product, you can click "Check Stores," and it will tell you which Target nearby may have limited stock that you can go pick one up.
To be honest, even though I am practicing social distancing and staying at home. I don't really have more free time than before. I have always been working at home, and 90% of my schedule hasn't changed. One thing I do miss is connecting with friends. Lacking social interaction can be challenging mentally. I lost track of time, and my days became too repetitive. Like a looping music track, I started to lose interest in things, and it became challenging to find joy in life despite I am totally fine and have a pretty good quality of life.
Since playing Animal Crossing for a few days, I am addicted like most players. The game provides what we lack in real life, something new every day and incremental changes.
This is a trying time in everyone's life. People all over the world are fighting the virus, fighting to survive. I am aware of the privilege I have in life, that I can escape into a perfect virtual world while some people may not have the bare essential to living. Therefore, I include links to the websites Feeding America and WHO. If you are fortunate enough to have extra resources, please do consider donating to Feeding America or any organization and community that need your help.
