Ten bags I want to buy in 2021

When I said I want to write about ten bags I want to buy right now, my friend seemed shocked, and he asked, "You have ten bags you want?" The fact is, it is more than ten! They all exist in my list for reasons. There are so many exciting designs and quality bags, and it is not hard to put together a list if you have been actively shopping around. I want to write about this to help myself decide which bag to get first throughout my thought process. Perhaps, if you are looking to buy a gift for a guy friend, boyfriend, or husband, this list could give you a rough idea of what to look for when you shop.

Cravar D.S. L/Sand
Cravar is a company based in Indonesia. They make quality leather bags, camera bags, totes, backpacks, etc. The D.S. L/Sand leather messenger bag is in this gorgeous mustard/coffee color. It is not a large bag, but a great size for a day out around town or a coffee shop trip. Also, how can we not talk about the beautiful red acrylic fabric lining they use for the internal? This subtle pop of color is an excellent addition to your closet without being over the top. in addition to the colors, I love the shape of this bag! It is old school, classic, and well designed. However, this will not be the first Cravar bag I will own since I have already ordered an F.C. 13 Messenger. The reason I chose that before getting a Cravar D.S. is for practical reasons. I want a messenger that is deep enough to carry my Leica Q2 without pushing or distorting the shape of a bag. By the time I publish this blog, I will likely have the F.C. 13 in my hands. A review is coming soon afterward if you want to know more about Cravar. On a side note, the owner of Cravar was very helpful and responsive when I couldn't quite decide which bag to buy. Good customer service seems rare these days; even from some companies who make amazing bags.

Marc Jacobs The Leather Small Tote
Marc Jacobs's little tote/crossbody/bookbag has been trending for a while now. Everyone has been buying the canvas version, but I heard the material is a pain to clean. The canvas attracts lint like a magnet. I have always loved a boxy structured bag. Usually, I'm not too fond of small bags as I don't think I can pull them off. However, the leather version really got me. The leather looks amazing on their website, and I love the more subtle branding. I love the black color; I think it is so classic and easy to match whatever I am wearing. If you are bold in your color choice, the red one does stand out from the crowd! You can also find the pink color option for the ladies who love pink but not directly on Marc Jacobs's website.

Ted Baker Sukicon Large Icon Bag
For a more affordable option, I love Ted Baker's large tote bag! The tote is made from Vinyl, but it looks luxurious even though it is not leather. It is a minimalist bag with an embossed logo on the front. It doesn't have a crossbody strap, but the handles are long enough that you could rock it on your shoulder. I love how big the tote is, but I don't think you should carry a lot of stuff with it as the straps are not very thick. It is an excellent piece to balance your colorful outfit, or if you are a black and white monochromatic kind of person, this tote would fit right in!

WP Standard Market Tote
Recently, I am so in love with crossbody totes. I love how versatile they are, and it is so convenient getting things in and out of a bag. Most of the crossbody totes have a more feminine touch to the design, but if you are looking for a masculine look, the Market Tote from WP Standard would be perfect! It has these bold and chunky handles that provide a unique and strong look. Looking at the brown color option, I think it tells me to grab one now, and it's time to bring it to coffee meetings with my friends!

1979 LA Arroyo Tote/Malibu Tote
Considering blue is one of my favorite colors; it is so hard for me to resist not getting both the Arroyo Tote and Malibu Tote from 1979 LA. These basic tote bags are made from classic denim fabric and certainly have their charm. Who doesn't like indigo denim, right? Like our favorite pair of jeans, these denim totes are likely to be practical and last for a long time. If something ever breaks, I am sure it will be an easy fix. I love how denim ages, and I can't wait to pull the trigger to get both! I can't choose between these two! The decision is going to be even more challenging when they put out their leather tote in summer.

Mark Cross Sidney Leather Tote Bag
Let's talk about love at first sight! This understated luxury bag from Mark Cross is a bag that I drool looking at it on my screen! Everything about this tote is so perfect! The tote has a boxy-shaped body with solid handles. It has a built-in expandable zipper on both sides, in case you decide to carry more stuff. The royal red lining inside screams luxurious! There is no other way to put it; if you have the money, you need to buy it right away before Mark Cross discontinues this timeless tote.

Bradley Mountain The Biographer - Russet
I love both leather bags and waxed canvas bags. The Biographer roll-top backpack is the statement of a match in heaven! The Russet uses an 18 oz waxed duck canvas and the natural color 9 oz harness leather; they are the perfect combination! The designs of roll-top backpacks are usually quite simple and straightforward, but this one from Bradley Mountain has a laptop pocket inside, a side pocket, and a front pocket! It is water-resistant, it can carry a lot of stuff, and it also provides you compartments for organization. The more you use the bag, the more it ages, with the beautiful patina on both the leather parts and the waxed canvas body. Did I mention this is a limited edition? And it is made in the US! Don't wait! Get it while you can!

Portland Leather Goods Leather Rolltop Backpack
While we are at it, let's don't skip over Portland Leather Goods! Recently they have this bag back in stock. I'm not sure how long it will last, so I totally recommend you getting one before it goes out of stock again. Personally, I wish to see more color options for this roll-top backpack since I have already had their laptop backpack in the same color. The price and the quality from PLG are unbeatable. The leather they use is thick yet soft. I have a laptop backpack using the same leather material; I want to hug it all the same, and if you like the leather smell, it is heavenly! This roll-top backpack is going to be a great one for you to pack your weekend getaway! I can't wait to get one for myself!

The Cambridge Satchel Company 13 Inch Batchel with Magnetic Closure
Since the beginning of my bag addiction, I have been eyeing the bags from The Cambridge Satchel Company. If you want to use a bag to define the British, the leather satchels are the ultimate definition! The style is so classic and timeless. It is old school yet romantic. And don't you think their bags look like the beautiful prop we usually see in the movies? They have their traditional side, but you probably think the designers were on drugs when you look at the color options they offer. You can almost find any color you want as long as you can pull them off. Bright neon colors? Pastel? Glitter? The possibility is endless with The Cambridge Satchel Company! If you decide to get one, I would recommend you get one with a magnetic closure. I have seen some used ones with buckle closure on Poshmark, the leather tends to age faster, and the look of the satchel becomes less polished.

Billingham Hadley Pro 2020 Camera Bag
As a photographer, I have to add a camera bag to this list, and it is no other than the one from well-known camera bag company Billingham. The one on my shopping list is the Hadley Pro 2020 Camera Bag in navy canvas and chocolate leather. The pictures on their website really don't do it justice! I have seen other bloggers/YouTubers showcasing this camera bag, and it looks stunning! One of the great things about camera bags from Billingham is, you can remove the padded insert. With such a gorgeous bag, I would totally use it as my everyday carry even when I don't bring my cameras!

Here you have it! I want to buy these ten bags, and I am sure I will buy some before this article hits my website! Do you have recommendations for me to add more to my shopping list? Which of these is your favorite, and did you have experience buying from them?
