Patagonia Naturals Shoulder Bag 19L

After countless tote bags I bought, I am still buying more! That's how much I am with this style of bag. And, one of the totes I acquired recently has really stood out, and I wanted to introduce it to you if you didn't know about it. It is the titled bag of this post, the Patagonia Naturals Shoulder Bag 19L!

First of all, this shoulder bag/tote has a relatively simple structure, pretty similar to traditional cotton totes, like the ones from L.L. Bean. It has a slip pocket on the front and a zippered pocket inside the bag. In addition, this Patagonia bag features a zipper closure, so your stuff won't be rolling out if the tote is tipped over. Also, the size of this bag is big enough to carry most laptops and iPads, but not too big that it is in the way all the time.

What's fantastic about this shoulder bag is the material. It was made from heavyweight 100% organic cotton and recycled wool blend fabric. When they said heavyweight, they were not kidding about it! The cotton fabric they used was so thick, and I think I could use it to fence off invaders! Although the material is thick, it doesn't appear to be too heavy to carry. The cotton material was coated with Polyurethane so that the bag could withstand some light splash of water. The pockets and the closure of this bag were made from recycled wool blend material, and it has this lovely, wooly, comfy feel to the touch. One thing I wasn't sure about was their decision to use a plastic zipper. The tote could benefit from a metal zipper like the ones from YKK to make it more durable. While examining the tote, the thread they used didn't appear to match the thick cotton fabric. The thread was on the thinner side, but they did double stitch most of the seams, though.

Regardless, I am sure this organic cotton tote will last a long time for me! Even if the stitches ever come loose, I am crafty enough to sew it back. I love the material of this bag, and I will likely keep this bag in my collection longer than other cotton totes I own. When this article was published, you could still get it for $38.99 on their website. It looks like they are discontinuing this line of products, so make sure you grab one before they are gone forever!
