ButcherBox Meat Subscription-Box Service Review

It has been more than two weeks shelter-in-place for me. Other than my backyard, I haven't gone anywhere. My sister, who read some news online asked me how bad is the discriminations in the States, to be honest, I have no idea since I haven't stepped out on the street for so long. Not going out means I have to have food and grocery delivered. After trying multiple subscription box services, I found their quality to be inconsistent due to the high demand.

A couple of days ago, I received my first delivery from ButcherBox. ButcherBox is a meat subscription box service that promises to deliver quality meat to their customers. ButcherBox was easy to sign up, and the options were clear. For my first order, I chose the "mixed box," which comes with chicken, pork, and beef.

After I waited for more than two weeks, my box arrived perfectly. The packaging was one of the best I had seen. There was still a chunk of dry ice in the box, and all the meats remained frozen. Follow the recipe on their website, and I had cooked a pork chop for dinner. It was thick-cut meat, and I was able to cook it without defrosting it. With some sauce I made, the meat was moist, and it tasted fresh. It didn't have any weird pork smell in it. This morning, I cooked myself some banana pancakes for lunch, and I also fried some bacon I got from them. The bacon was delicious, and I really liked the flavor.

Other than their delivery schedule is a little confusing and unpredictable, overall, they had exceeded my expectations. Whenever I had questions, I could easily reach out to their customer support through the online chat on their website. It's good to know that they try to be professional in the service they provide and give their customers quality products. Since I can't go grocery shopping, I will continue the subscription, and I am looking forward to seeing the next custom box I ordered.

At the moment, you won't be able to just sign up because of the demands. However, you can add yourself to the waitlist, and hopefully, they will be ready for more customers soon.
